Sarah's Story

Sarah* arrived at our centre with her toddler son, Benny*. Visibly upset, Sarah began to share her story with our team.

On a long-awaited return to her home country to introduce Benny to her family, Sarah’s Australian husband served her with divorce papers. Ready to face the challenges that come with a marriage breakdown, Sarah arrived home to Australia to find out she was also pregnant. Notifying her employer of her pregnancy, Sarah was met with reduced work hours.

Single. Homeless. Jobless. Pregnant. No family support.

Sarah recently called our team. She is thriving with her little family, back on track with her career.

Her need this time? To help a colleague facing an unplanned pregnancy.
